Community
ECCA Family Foundation works to develop communities based on the fact that we are social creatures who thrive when we’re able to enjoy meaningful connections with others and take part in shared, meaningful experiences.
Elementary as they may seem, often these connections and experiences need some help in order to materialize. Once available however, they work as catalysts for social change and stronger, more caring communities.
We apply a variety of methods and strategies in community-related projects in several locations. They share the common goal of providing people with a sense of belonging because we recognize that once we belong, we tend to grow and develop our ability to master the challenges we face.
Community projects
SAC
The purpose of the Self Awareness Crew (SAC)-project is to help vulnerable men in the age group between 30-55 in the Danish municipality of Rødovre. The men may have mental problems as well as problems with substance abuse, homelessness or similar social problems.
COVID-19 Prevention
To date, the ECCA Family Foundation has provided grants totaling 130 000 USD to non-profit organizations in Thailand who were providing support and relief to vulnerable communities that have been impacted by COVID-19.
